I am a child, adolescent and family psychotherapist, and I studied at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, successfully obtaining an MA in Psychological therapies with children, young people, and families. I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am also a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists. I offer psychotherapy to children and young adults, from ages 4 to 25 years old.

Throughout my professional life, I have always worked with children and adolescents from various ethnic and religious backgrounds, reflecting South West London’s rich multi-cultural mix, and I am respectful of, and interested in, the ways in which culture, religion and ethnicity can influence and help to form a family, a child, a person. I have also worked with many neurologically diverse children and adolescents, particularly those with a diagnosis of ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

For parents and carers who might be struggling due to problems arising from supporting troubled children and adolescents I offer reflective sessions, that enables them to talk openly of their own emotional difficulties, whilst keeping their child in mind.

I also work within schools, both primary and secondary, and have already set up a therapy service in a South London all-through school.

ETHICS & CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality is an important aspect of the therapeutic relationship, and this is an agreed part of the work, unless there are safeguarding issues. I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
